Provincial Home-Based Family Services Network
The Provincial Home-Based Family Services Network is an amalgamation of the Home-Based Family Services Network (HBFSN) located in Southwestern Ontario, and the Intensive Services (I.S.) Network of Eastern Ontario.
The Network consists of front line workers from Children's Mental Health agencies who provide home-based services to families.
It was developed to provide an opportunity for in-home workers to share ideas, discuss issues relevant to home based programs, gain new tools and knowledge to use in their work with families, and a chance to meet colleagues doing the same work in other agencies. Network meetings take place on a quarterly basis in their respective areas, and are open to all individuals who are working within home based services,
This web page will provide information about both networks and connect you with professionals across the province doing valuable work with families.
Last year, CMHO launched the 'Home-Based Services Network' Discussion Forum on behalf of the Home Based Services Network. This forum facilitates networking, and functions like a Community of Practice - allowing members to share tacit knowledge. Click on the "Connect" tab to access the Home-Based Discussion forum.
