Last year, CMHO launched the 'Home-Based Services Network' Discussion Forum on behalf of the Home Based Services Network. This forum facilitates networking, and functions like a Community of Practice - allowing members to share tacit knowledge.
HOW IT WORKS
The Forum is housed within the 'Members Only' section of CMHO's website (kidsmentalhealth.ca). In order to access the Forum, you will first need to login* to the 'Members Only' section. If you would like to subscribe to this Forum, please email marta AT cmho DOT org for a login and password (indicate in the subject heading of your email that you are requesting membership in the 'Home Based Services' forum).
1. The login page is here: www.kidsmentalhealth.ca/members/login.php. If you've forgotten your password, please click the 'Forget Password' link on the login page; enter your username and email address (they should be the same), and a new password will be sent to you in a few minutes.
2. After you've logged in, click the 'Discussion Forums' link - this will take you to the homepage of the Forums.
3. Click 'Home-Based Services' - this will take you to the list of topics within this forum.
4. You are already subscribed to this forum which means that you'll receive an email notification whenever a new topic is posted (you need to login to the forum at least once, after which you will atomically start to receive notices of new postings).
5. If you are interested in following the discussion on a specific topic, you must click the 'NOTIFY' button when you are viewing the topic. This will enable 'notification of new replies for this topic' (i.e., you will receive an email when someone posts a response on this topic).
6. On the homepage of the forum, you'll see the title 'Welcome to CMHO Discussion Forum.' Please take a few minutes to read the documents contained in this section: 'Rules/Regulations' and 'Instructions on how to use the Online Forum.'
*You must login at least once to activate the notification system for new topics that are posted in this forum.
